Emptiness (by Shasta M)

As I say these words,
they echo inside my head.
It doesn't make a difference,
I may as well be dead.
It seems you'll never hear them.
You don't know what I feel.
You don't even know the real me.
But this pain, it seems so real.
I feel so empty inside.
Like a doll that's in the making.
But I know that I have a heart
because I can feel it breaking.
