A Wink Of Life
|
||||
snow covers footsteps,
women leap into the air,
men grin with impulsive winks,
and worlds collide.
oceans of needle trees
propel down from the sky,
rivers flow empty,
and escaping words and phrases
are gardens of beenstalks.
jeers, laughs, cries
hover a child,
wings of prey
float in clouds,
and marigolds emerge
into a city sky.
smoke,
gas,
and fire
reveal the city's silence
and hides it's beauty.
time passes,
as many wonder if
flares of tranquillity
will ignite lions
in moonlight or daylight.
