Valentine (by Slate)

god is great god is good let me thank him for this blood
on my hands
on my knees
I beg and plead for your disease
to silence me to distance me to undistort the things I see
but not right now
I have things to stop doing
people to avoid
bridges to burn
I want to be like the others
blind
unfeeling
reeking of apathy
until then I need something
the one thing I can take from you
will you be my valentine?
