Resurgence
by dave

Do not be discouraged,
you nothing more to fear,
you have no laughter left,
it's been but just a year.

A year since she departed,
since she took her love away,
she has not called or written,
not since that fateful day.

But you will live, don't worry,
It's not a fantasy, but it's a fact,
Your laughter will return too,
this gloom is just an act.

Don't hide from the tomorrows,
grin and face the stark today,
there's more fish in the ocean,
it's time to laugh and play.

You just a year now older,
and wiser than your were,
take heart and seek love,
and resurgence you'll incur.
