A realization
by Shasta M

I glance down the hall
and all that I see
is you talking with her
instead of with me.

I was your first love
and you were mine
you go with her
and just leave me behind.

WHen I was with you
I gave you my heart.
She was always on your mind
and that tears me apart.

You picked me up and threw me down.
I feel so hurt and broken.
For if you never cared,
"I love you" you should have never spoken.

To you, those three little words
mean nothing much.
TO me, they mean the world
and my heart you did touch.

You threw around your words
with much too little care.
But you have to realize
my heart can't take much ware.

Why did you go out with me?
Just to prove you could?
I hope you've learned a lesson--
That it does no good.

I thought you were different.
I believed that you cared.
But fall in love again?
I will never ever dare.

You have brought me to see
you made me open up my eyes
and realize that love is bad
and it's just full of lies.

we had our good times
and also much of bad.
i will always look back on
the love i thought we had.

So go on and hold her had
for you have let go of mine
you have already done it
you've left my broken heart behind.

I really hope you're happy
I want you to be satisfied.
I want to know that something
came of this one, big lie
