March Madness (by freakymom)

1 is the best number that you knew
2 can be as good as 1
But there exists a problem.
There can be only one true #1.

Only one can be the champion, oh yes yhis is true.
But, every team's roead to the big Final Four
can bring up many a surprise.

You might be a #1 seed.
But, still your road can be tough.
Only one can take home the prize.

Some teams are just happy to be invited to the dance.
Who's your dancing partner?
Well, it's not by your chance.

The NCAA committee holds your fate in their hands.
Based on certain criteria, like wins, losses and schedules.
THEY will decide where you stand.

Some teams are on the bubble, an interesting place you see.
You must wait til' selection Sunday(of course not today)
To get an invite or a location where you will play or be.

All the teams invited are interested to see.
Where are you seeded and where they will play.
The only one's controlling YOUR destiny,
is the highly trusted committee of the NCAA.

Some bubbles are popped and don't make the cut.
Others aren't thrilled where they are seeded.
Even others don't like the region in which they stand.
Every team wants the easiest path to the "Promised Land."

The Final Four is the place is what you want to get.
Some team's paths may look easier than the rest.

One thing always holds true.
There will be an upset, by some team.
Making others paths easier or hard.
But what's the best is "to make it."--The Dream.

To play in the championship game.
The best of the best.
From 64 to 1.
If your lucky,you can say
My team---is #1.
