its dark here
inside myself
so cold i shiver
and the hair stands up on the back of my neck
i cant see much
its hollow and empty here
black and cold
i can sense memories
ones i forced away a long time ago
i can feel them
touch them
run my worn petite fingers along the jagged edges
beaten down by my own awareness
of reality
but there is one
one that feels warm
one i can hold next to me
one i could crawl inside and clench my eyes shut
pretend i dont have to come out
it feels smooth against my skin
safe around my body
it feels like
home
it feels like daddy
