Forever (by Karen)

Forever she could write
And it seems like it's what she has
Forever
Watching the pile
Of smoked cigarettes grow
Contemplating her world
Her mind
Wondering why this
Is on this paper
Why she's here
And not where she is
Supposed to be
Why she is alone
While people
Are making magick
Her spells fail
Her witch left her
When she was a child
Inhale
Exhale
Forever she could write
About things that make
Perfect sense
Songs that won't be sung
Profound thoughts
That aren't two inches deep
Rambling
Forever
Because it's what she has
Filling the lines with
Thoughts right now
Singing to herself
The words of others
She wants so much
To smoke till she dies
To sit on the beach
And watch the waves
They may bring her peace
Solace
Sanctuary
She begins to try
To imagine
Forever
And what it mean
Her immortality
A life once
With him
Perhaps
It won't even stop
Her pain
Her love
Her imagination
Lost in this
Forever
Of smoke
And mirrors
The music eternal
Playing soundlessly
The sounds her hurt her ears
The tiny tears
Sting her eyes
The peace is so disturbing
How this short time here
Like an epic
Goes on
Forever
