Sad, Sweet Melody (by Danielle Sparks)

Love is the one thing I truly hate,
It has thorns that stick and prick,
Bringing fourth the sad, sweet melody,
Regressing the feelings that surround me.
Teathered to the life of love that is,
That is all, all to life, of the sad, sweet melody,
Hate of this emotion brings it through,
Twisting my soul for someone new.
Binding ties that link me to you,
Confusing the ones who's love is all but true,
With the love that is not.
That sad, sweet melody, of the song bird,
Leads me to the heart of gold,
But the heart of gold sees mine as semi-precious silver,
The metal of the heart in which I own.
The heart of gold in which I sought,
Has another in his golden eye,
But leaves me as the Forbiden fruit.
