Love is little more than
a self-fulfilling prophecy
a spiritual violation
a nightmare production
badly scripted
but it's human nature to look
one twice three times sold
regrets aren't apologies
invisible remorse
moving on.
A masochistic tendency
that is our birthright
inescapable and hated
conflicting instincts
self-preservation
and procreation
pass it down
tail-chasing circles
for endless infinity.
