Crazy Love (by Shasta M)

I lay here with my best friend.
I am all alone.
With me is my broken heart,
and an empty bottle of Methadone.
I lay here crying softly,
raindrops on my face.
I cry for help but no one hears.
My head's an empty place.
I wonder what I did wrong.
I wonder why I am so blue.
But mostly as I go insane,
I lay here thinking of you.
Why won't the pain go away?
What is there I can do?
And I lay here asking why
you don't love me as I love you.
I fall to the ground laughing
as the blood gushes from my wrists.
Tears fall and I sigh
remembering our last kiss.
The note falls from my hand
one last thing for me to do
as a final breath escapes my lips
I scrawl, "I love you"
