is the world coming to an end?
"no." they say, "your just coming to a bend."
"time to change your direction."
i feel as though it is a deadly infection.
it sucks the life out of me.
well they say grown up is hard to be!
i don't want to grow up, the fun things are just starting.
when summer ends all of my friends will be parting.
i don't know what i want to do with my life yet.
college will be full of strangers i've never met.
changes don't sit well with me.
why can't you all just let me be?
i don't want to go away to school.
you all just think i'm a lazy fool.
i probably have more sense than all of you combined!
i'll do all right in life you'll later find.
i wish i could run away.
im not ready to grow up today.
my best years are all gone.
the good times didn't last too long!
can't i just put a pause on time?
why change the good times just to make a dime?
college just isn't my style.
i just want to chill out for awhile.
why can't you see my side of the story?
you think college is full of glory.
for you it may be.
but its my life that i hold the key.
i want to make the right choice,
but you won't even acknowledge my voice.
"your not a kid anymore." they say.
yet your making me go to college today!
you need to make up your mind.
maybe its you who need a kick from behind!
i know you try to relate,
but the differences between us are too great.
i don't care how you feel,
going to college isn't the only deal.
i want to go back to 12th grade,
and relive all the good times we made.
life was so simple then.
just give me one more year if you can.
this time i'll cherish it dearly.
maybe then i'll see my future more clearly.
i can't go on yet.
there are too many challenges i haven't met.
i didn't go to the senior prom with a crush,
or skip school just for the rush.
im just not ready for college!!!!
