Untitled (by RHIAN)

The wind blows, sharp and cold.
Alone in the woods she stands.
She tilts her head and can see the rays of sun
breaking through the tree tops above.

But she is lost
and blindly stumbles
trying to make sense out of the twists and turns of the forest.

She doesn't know where to go-where to turn.
She feels alone, abandoned.

She hears a voice.
It tells her where to go.
She should head towards the sunlit part of the forest.

But she wants to make her own choices,
she wants to go her own way.

She defies the voice
she decides to head towards the dark center of the woods.

It gets darker and colder.
There is no longer any sun to comfort her
to light her way.
She doesn't hear anything.
She doesn't see anything.

She is afraid.
Its nothing like she thought it would be.
She wants to get out
but it is so dark she cant find her way.

She moves without seeing.
She acts without thinking.
Finally she sees a glitter of light,
of hope.

She follows the light.
She can see again.
She heads towards the more lit part of the forest.

She's back where she started.
The voice is back.
This time she listens.
She goes towards the lit side.

She walks in the sunlight
and makes her way out if the adolescent forest
into the future.
